The O’Kane family continued its long association with the West London Irish Society (WLIS) at the recent annual fund raising dinner held at the Clayton Chiswick Hotel on 8th October. The gift boxes, hampers and raffle prizes were sponsored by O’Kane Irish Foods and just over £20,000 was raised on the night.
Established in 1953, the primary goal of the WLIS was to bring Irish emigrants together and encourage social interaction. This evolved into fundraising to support a range of causes and organizations that greatly benefit the West London Irish community. These include the O’Kane Family designated charity the Brent Irish Advisory Service.
“We are so pleased to have the continued support of the O’Kane Family, the gift boxes and hampers are a great addition to our events, bringing a real dose of nostalgia to everyone” Mick McCormack Chair WLIS
“The WLIS ball was the first big Irish event I attended as a young teenager, I thought it was the coolest thing ever. Now as an adult, I acknowledge realise the fantastic work it does raising money for deserving causes.”
